Increasing the spacing between paragraphs for all ordinary text in the document.
This will describe how to increase the spacing between paragraphs.
Place the cursor within a paragraph with more than one line of text.
(Although what you are about to do will be applied to all paragraphs, this is the one that will be illustrated while you are actually doing it.)
Click on the Home tab near the top of the window.
The icons for the Home tab are arranged in blocks. One of the blocks is labelled Styles . One of the styles within the block is labelled Normal .
Right click on the Normal style and select Modify .
A Modify Style panel will appear. At the bottom left of the panel is a button labelled Format .
Press on the Format button and select Paragraph .
A Paragraph panel will appear. The things there are arranged under headings. One of the headings is labelled Spacing . Within this, there is a Before window and an After window.
Click on the little arrows to increase or decrease the paragraph spacing.
The paragraph where your cursor was will be illustrated in the Preview panel, and you can see how the spacing gets changed.
Click on the red cross in the top right hand corner of the Paragraph panel in order to close it.
Click on the red cross in the top right hand corner of the Modify Style panel in order to close it.
You have now changed the paragraph spacing for the Normal style
